Living in a country where straight hair rules, finding a good styling product for the curly hair is such a pain in the ey-ess-ess. For the past few months, I've been experimenting on different hair products, mixing and jumbling all sorts of creams, mousse, gels, etc etc. Product after product, layers after layers.  I honestly sometimes feel like going back to straight hair is way easier and economical, than spending so much money on hair products, but then I do love my current buhahag hairstyle- I feel some sense of uniqueness and personality with this kind of hair- so I think I wold just go on with this journey and just enjoy every part of it. August is my birthday month so instead of doing my usual "Pieces of My Month" series, I decided to make it more special by doing series of posts called "My Birthday Shenanigans." I know that this has been an overdue post as we are already running through "BER" months, but as I have said before, it is better to post late than never. Anyways, one of the major things I did during my birthday was to take a tour around ABS-CBN studio.  ABS-CBN is the largest broadcasting network in the Philippines as far as I know. Happy Tuesday everyone! I have just realized that the first quarter of 2014 have passed and I am loving my year so far. There are times when I wish I could have done more but I guess it's better to give myself a pat on the back and celebrate my successes rather than being too harsh on myself. Sometimes, I tend to forget I can only do enough. First week of March, I was able to celebrate Fat Tuesday with my church friends. Fat Tuesday, if you have no idea what it is, is  the day before Ash Wednesday--the start of Lenten season.  Since Fat Tuesday is the day before fasting and abstinence, devout Catholics are having a merry gathering of food and laughter before pursuing a month of sacrifice and soul-searching.   Aside from the beginning of Lenten season, March also marks the start of summer.
